What ROP does, how leagues work, and what to expect.
Is ROP a gambling site?
No. ROP is a league-management and record-keeping app for in-person poker groups. You cannot play poker or place bets on this site. ROP does not accept wagers, hold deposits, process buy-ins or pay out winnings. Cash figures are reported results; digital points, badges and trophies have no cash value.
Who is ROP for?
People who host or play in a regular home game. Commissioners organize their league, schedule games and publish results. Players reserve seats, follow their record and keep up with the group. Organizers and players are responsible for following the laws and age requirements that apply to their in-person games.
How do I start or join a league?
Choose Sign up, then create a league or enter a code from your commissioner. Creating a league makes you its commissioner, and it is free while we are in the pilot. Joining an existing league takes a link from its commissioner; some leagues let the link in straight away, others ask the commissioner to approve you first.
Does an account automatically give me league access?
No. Your account is your sign-in; each league has its own membership. An invitation lets you request access, and the commissioner approves it. If you already have a record in the original ROP league, your commissioner must link it to your account. Using the same email alone does not claim a player record.
How are results and standings updated?
The commissioner records and publishes the session’s results. ROP then updates points, Net Rating, reported net cash and player records. Check your league’s scoring rules for the details, and contact your commissioner if a result needs correcting.
Can we create our own league badges?
Yes. Commissioners can create custom badges, publish the earning criteria and assign them to players. These sit alongside automatic current-holder badges and long-term milestones for 5, 10, 20 and 50 scored games. The three main trophies remain Points, Net Rating and total recorded net cash.
Who can see my league’s information?
New league workspaces require an approved membership to view the roster, schedule, results and Rail. Commissioners manage membership requests. Homepage previews use fictional players and results. See the Privacy notice for information about existing league records and data handling.
What does it cost?
The current trial is free, with no automatic conversion to a paid subscription. ROP does not collect your game’s buy-ins or manage payments between players. Any future paid features would be explained before you choose them.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Open ROP in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Use the same account to return to your leagues from another device.
